The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has launched a Twitter account for Spanish speakers to follow news and information about the EEOC, the agency announced.

Members of the public and media can now follow @EEOCespañol on Twitter for information on the laws enforced by the EEOC, the charge handling process, outreach and educational programs in Spanish.

"Our Twitter en Español handle provides us with another tool to interact with the Spanish-speaking public and share with them helpful information about workplace discrimination," said Kimberly Smith-Brown, the EEOC's director of communications.  "This is another example of the agency's commitment to remain accessible to the public and provide good customer service."

The public can also follow @EEOCNews for EEOC news in English.

The EEOC has also unveiled its YouTube channel, adding several informational and historical videos in both English and Spanish, aimed at educating viewers about the laws the agency enforces.
