According to documents received by the Associated Press (AP), the Obamacare Marketplaces nationwide so far have seen 476,000 individuals sign up out of a visit total of 16 million, but the government won't say how many of those applicants actually enrolled in health care insurance. An enrollment report has been promised for mid-November.

The sign-ups are split almost evenly between the 14 state exchanges (aka marketplaces) and the 36 federal entities, with a slight nod going to HealthCare.gov, the federal marketplace, according to the AP.

Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal on Friday reported that the data feeds from the federal site are so error-prone that insurance companies say they cannot issue policies in a vast number of cases. Errors include spouses listed as children.

Separately, a televised CNBC report claimed that Kentucky, a mid-market state, has seen the greatest percentage of sign-ups, even while using a system designed by the same company that created HealthCare.gov.
