As previously discussed here, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) counted days closed because of the government shutdown over funding issues as "holidays," and thus it announced it would extend any filing deadlines by the length of the shutdown.
It's now official: 16 days have been added to any filing deadlines (October 1 shutdown through reopening on October 17). The NLRB website notes: "Thus, if a document was due on October 8, 2013, it would now be due on October 24, 2013 (October 8 plus 16 days). As always, if the due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the document would be due the following business day."
And if the new date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the filing deadline will be the next business day that the NLRB is open.
